One Incense
Someone who watches you work — and remembers.
An AI body double with a memory. Say what you'll do, sit one stick of incense, and be seen doing it. The Preceptor notices when you leave — and he remembers whether you came back yesterday, too.
Not customisable · It has a gaze · Camera never leaves this device · One stick of incense = 25 min
A meditation hall, not a to-do list
Every focus app gives you a timer. This one gives you somebody — with a standard, and a memory.
A companion who remembers
The Preceptor keeps a private note about your pattern — not your words, your pattern. Miss three days and his tone changes. Show up daily and it changes back. That memory is the product.
It notices when you leave
Tab switches, a quiet keyboard, an empty chair if you allow the camera. Drift past the grace period and the keisaku taps — one wooden crack, the way meditation halls have woken drifting sitters for a thousand years.
Private by architecture
Face detection runs locally — no frame is ever uploaded, and we cut the detector vendor's telemetry out of the build. What does travel: your typed intent and session stats go through OpenRouter to the configured model provider for the companion's lines, and browser speech recognition (if you use it) is your browser vendor's service. Both are labelled where they happen.
Two companions, one standard
The Preceptor holds the hall — dry, exacting, keisaku in hand. Suanni, ninth son of the dragon, keeps the burner warm — he treats a bad day as weather, not character. You can't redesign them. The thing watching has to be somebody else.
Paper by day, ink-green by night
The room follows your hours: xuan paper and seal-red in daylight, ink-green and candlelight after dark. Pine rain and the hall use compact recordings that load once, then repeat from memory; a local synthesized fallback keeps the room usable offline.
The debrief tells the truth
At the end of each sitting the companion says what actually happened — plainly, without contempt, and with one concrete next action. Shame is what makes people delete focus apps. Disappointment is allowed here; withdrawal is not.
